Hello, my name is David Bayas. I am from North Dallas, and I am currently studying at Wichita State in Wichita, KS. Over the past year, I have been blessed with the opportunity to experience the simple lifestyle of the Christ in the City missionaries and to encounter their friends on the streets. Last summer, I had the opportunity to spend three weeks in Lincoln, Nebraska with the missionaries pictured above (from left to right: Ashley, Chris, and Alexa. Not pictured: Henry). During that time, I not only learned to grow in community with the missionaries and the other students I was with, but I also discovered shelter ministry and my love for it. I loved walking through the doors each day and seeing the joy of those we encountered grow week by week.
